I went there once, and I miss it so much! This was the place where I realized how much better tuna could possibly taste! What an eye-opener!!!

Yeah, I'm not totally in love with the cream cheese-filled sushi. I live in the Seattle area, and they sell something called a "Seattle roll" or an "Ichi-roll" if you're at Safeco Field, where they make a cucumber, cream cheese, and salmon roll. Cucumber and salmon, OK, but that weird "smoosh" of soft cream cheese doesn't make me think "Seattle" or "awesome baseball player from Japan." Instead, I think "hm... rotten..?" The sashimi photos you took are beautiful. I can see why people just get addicted to lovely, perfectly fresh slices of raw fish.

Mmm... that sounds delicious! There is no good sushi or sashimi here in DC--that is, that I've tried. Apparently there's a place in Georgetown that's good, but I haven't gone yet.

On the other hand, there IS a superb sushi/sashimi place in Beverly Hills called "Sushi Sushi"--their omakase selections, of which there are three of varying intensity, are superb--the o-toro sublime and absolutely melt-in-your-mouth. If you have a little bit of extra money, or want to go on a nice date, I would highly recommend this place. Just be sure to make a reservation beforehand!
