Wow, interesting lifestyle. I am very curious about the first trio of images. Is that really food?

Bihn,

I don't think duck has ever tasted that good since.

Angela,

I think the only thing I really missed in my two-year stint was a medium-rare steak. Probably texture more than anything else. Nowadays, I miss bacon, too.

NHBilly,

I'll be right there with you in a couple months.

That was great article I enjoyed it. I enjoy vege food but I doubt I can ever go that long but reading your article hurts me enough to have a big juicy prime steak.

Medium Rare Please,
NHB

i have been a vegetarian for about a decade, and when people ask, i must admit that bacon is the only meat that i miss.
coming from a girl who was raised on homemade carne asada, beef jerky and menudo. i feel like bacon is the one meaty item that simply cannot be replicated.
which is sad because i hella want a blt.

Humble,

Ah, and what a complicated relationship that must be. You might need a few more early-twentieth-century novels for anything involving Fried Chicken.

Single,

Cleansing and Weight Loss are bonus side effects. If the results weren't so salubrious, I probably wouldn't keep up the hobby. I'd probably stick to only giving up Fried Chicken for three months out of the year (see above).

Wow, what an interesting and sometimes odd take on being a vegetarian. ;-) You actually could call your 2-3 months of the year in vegetarian land as your "cleanse" diet.

Thank you for your Italo Svevo analogy! Now I have something to refer to when I explain to others my relationship with fried chicken.
